On March 18, the launch ceremony of the intelligent material handling project at Hefei ARES Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Hefei. Leaders and representatives from both Hefei ARES and XGEN ROBOT attended the ceremony to witness the official commencement of this smart manufacturing collaboration. The project focuses on logistics scenarios in automotive parts production, aiming to set a new benchmark for lean manufacturing and digital transformation in the auto parts industry through advanced intelligent handling solutions.

At the ceremony, Mr. Jun Takeda, General Manager of Hefei ARES, delivered a speech stating:

“We are very pleased to partner with XGEN ROBOT to launch the FMR automated material handling project, which will support the automation upgrade of our Hefei plant. As intelligent manufacturing in China continues to evolve rapidly, especially with the emergence of new scenarios such as ‘dark factories,’ we clearly recognize the need to keep pace with market changes and continue to grow. Starting from the implementation of automated handling in the Hefei project, we look forward to strengthening cooperation with XGEN ROBOT and expanding into more diverse application scenarios in the future.”

Ms. Dan Wang, Vice General Manager of XGEN ROBOT, expressed gratitude for Hefei ARES’s trust in the company and introduced that XGEN ROBOT has been deeply engaged in the field of FMR (Forklift Mobile Robot) intelligent handling robots for many years, providing customers with one-stop services from planning to implementation. For this project, XGEN ROBOT delivered a customized solution comprising FMR equipment and an intelligent scheduling system. The solution enables full-process automation including product line-off operations, empty/full pallet circulation, and material replenishment, helping Hefei ARES improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational safety.

Hefei ARES Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ARES Co., Ltd. (Japan), established in 2010. The company specializes in the casting, precision machining, and manufacturing of aluminum and magnesium die-cast components for automotive engines and transmissions, as well as aluminum alloy materials.

Over the years, the company has provided high-quality products and services to global customers and has received multiple awards such as Excellent Supplier Award and Quality Cooperation Award from customers including Nissan, Honda, and Toyota. It holds a leading position in both technology and market influence within the industry.

With the continuous growth of its business, traditional logistics models are increasingly unable to meet the demands for high flexibility and high efficiency. To further enhance global competitiveness, XGEN ROBOT delivered a tailored smart logistics solution for the company, integrating equipment deployment and system scheduling to connect key logistics links between production lines and warehousing, enabling a comprehensive logistics system upgrade.

It is worth noting that one day prior to the launch ceremony, Mr. Furuta from ARES headquarters (ATS) and relevant leaders from Hefei ARES visited XGEN ROBOT for an on-site exchange. They were warmly received by XGEN ROBOT’s management team. Both parties held in-depth discussions on future integration of additional process flows and new intelligent collaboration opportunities, laying a solid foundation for deeper cooperation.

We believe that with the official launch and subsequent implementation of the project, both parties will jointly explore more possibilities in intelligent automotive manufacturing.
